4.Croco Cun Zoo
Croco Cun Zoo, a short drive south of Cancún near Puerto Morelos, is one of the most rewarding and genuinely interactive family attractions in the whole region, and consistently earns rave reviews. Originally founded as a crocodile research and breeding station, it has grown into an intimate, hands-on zoo that operates entirely by guided tour — a knowledgeable guide leads your small group through the jungle grounds, and the emphasis is on close, supervised encounters rather than viewing animals from afar. 6.Xel-Há Park (for families)
Of the region's nature parks, Xel-Há is perhaps the most relaxing and best suited to families with a wide age range, because it's built around gentle, natural water play rather than big thrills. The heart of the park is a large, calm, crystal-clear lagoon where a river meets the sea, ideal for easy snorkelling among shoals of tropical fish in safe, sheltered water — snorkel gear is included and staff are on hand, so even first-timers and children can join in. 7.Playa Tortugas
