2.Amnesia
Amnesia is one of Ibiza's true temples of dance, a huge, high-energy club on the San Rafael road midway between Ibiza Town and Sant Antoni. Born from a 1970s farmhouse, it was central to the birth of the Balearic and rave sounds in the 1980s and remains a benchmark for serious clubbing, split between two vast rooms: the Main Room and the glass-roofed Terrace, the latter famous for its sunrise light and its riotous foam parties, where the floor fills with foam mid-set. 3.Ushuaïa Ibiza
Ushuaïa redefined Ibiza clubbing when it opened in 2011 by moving the party outdoors and into daylight. Set around a giant pool and stage on the Playa d'en Bossa beachfront, attached to its own hotel, it stages spectacular open-air day-into-evening shows where the planet's biggest electronic acts perform to a vast, sun-soaked, festival-style crowd, with pyrotechnics, dancers and confetti cannons. Because it runs in the afternoon and evening (typically wrapping up around midnight, when the crowd migrates to Hï across the road), it suits those who want the superstar-DJ spectacle without a full all-nighter. 4.Hï Ibiza
Hï Ibiza is the island's newest heavyweight, opened in 2017 on the site of the old Space club at the far end of Playa d'en Bossa, directly across from Ushuaïa. Under the same ownership, it has been repeatedly voted the world's number-one club, and it shows: a slick, futuristic space with state-of-the-art sound and lighting, split between the huge main Theatre room and the pumping Club room, plus quirky touches like the unisex 'Wild Corner' turned into a mini dancefloor of its own. The line-ups are elite, with season-long residencies from the biggest names in house and techno, and the crowd is young, international and up for a full sunrise session. As with its sister venues, it is a premium night out — steep entry (cheaper online), expensive drinks and eye-watering table prices — but the production values are among the best anywhere. 5.DC-10
DC-10 is the antidote to Ibiza's glossy megaclubs — a rough-around-the-edges, low-key venue in a former farmhouse right by the airport that has become a pilgrimage for serious house and techno fans. Its legend rests on Circoloco, the Monday-into-the-night party running since 1999, which built a fiercely loyal following for its underground, no-frills, music-first ethos and a who's-who of credible DJs. There is little in the way of decor or VIP spectacle: this is about a sweaty indoor room, an open-air terrace, a proper sound system and a crowd that is there purely to dance. 6.Eden
Eden is the anchor of Sant Antoni's clubbing scene, a large venue right across from the harbour and the bar-packed West End that has long been the town's answer to the grand clubs of Ibiza Town and Playa d'en Bossa. It underwent major refits to install one of the island's most powerful sound systems, and it programmes a busy summer calendar of house, trance and dance nights that pull a younger, high-spirited, often British crowd drawn by Sant Antoni's more affordable, full-on party culture. Entry and drinks are cheaper than at Pacha, Hï or Amnesia, which — together with its walkable location among Sant Antoni's hotels and bars — makes it the go-to for those on a tighter budget or wanting a night that flows straight out of the West End. 7.Es Paradis
Es Paradis is one of Ibiza's most visually beautiful clubs and a Sant Antoni institution since 1975. Its signature is the striking glass pyramid roof over a temple-like main room filled with marble, columns and greenery, giving it a lush, almost botanical atmosphere quite unlike the industrial megaclubs. But it is best known for its spectacular 'Fiesta del Agua' water parties, when the sunken central dancefloor is progressively flooded to knee height and beyond while lasers, fountains and confetti turn the night into a full sensory spectacle — a bucket-list Ibiza experience and enormous fun. 8.Lío Ibiza
Lío offers a very different Ibiza night — glamour and spectacle rather than a sweaty dancefloor. Set on the waterfront at Marina Botafoch, across the harbour from the old town, it combines a high-end restaurant, a lavish cabaret and a late-night club into a single, theatrical evening, all beneath open sky with the illuminated walls of Dalt Vila glittering across the water. Guests dine at tables around a stage while a cast of singers, dancers, acrobats and drag performers stage a slick, sensual cabaret between courses; once dinner ends, the space transforms into an intimate, stylish club with DJs into the small hours.
